Champions League Wednesday Preview: Barca to Take On Inter; Liverpool Against Salzburg

After some thrilling matches last night, the Champions League Wednesday is looking to be full of excitement as well, as 16 teams from groups E, F, G, and H are taking on the football pitches all across Europe.

Genk is a heavy underdog against Napoli at home, especially after an embarrassing 6–2 loss to Salzburg in the first round. The title defenders Liverpool will play Salzburg at home, and it will be a must-win situation for the Jurgen Klopp’s squad since they lost in Napoli a couple of weeks ago.

Slavia Prague won a point in Milan against Inter in the first round, and now they will be looking to make another upset against Borussia Dortmund at home. However, all attention in Group F will be tuned towards the match on Camp Nou, where Barcelona will take on Inter. The two teams played in the group stage last year as well, with Barca winning their home game 2–0.

RB Leipzig just lost their number one spot in the Bundesliga rankings, so a win in the CL match against Lyon is what the players and the fans will be hoping for. The German team won in the first round, and they have a relatively easy group to cope with. In the other match of that group, Zenit will play at home against Benfica.

Valencia and Ajax both won their first-round matches, and now they will play each other to decide who ends at the top of Group H after the second round. On the other hand, Lille and Chelsea are hoping for their first points in this year’s Champions League.
